How we synced one Shopify store to five marketplaces

A retail client was maintaining the same catalog by hand across five channels. Here is how we made Shopify the single source of truth and removed the manual work between systems.

When a growing retail brand sells on five marketplaces, the catalog quietly becomes five catalogs. Price changes in one place and not the others. Stock drifts. Oversells happen. And every shipment means re-keying a tracking number into the right marketplace order.

Making Shopify the source of truth

We built a push-based sync engine on top of the Shopify API. Product price and inventory quantity flow one way — out of Shopify and into Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy and TikTok Shop. There is exactly one place to make a change.

Closing the fulfillment loop

Sync is only half the story. Once an order ships, the connector pushes the tracking number back to the marketplace order it came from — automatically, for thousands of orders.

Auditable by design

Every sync run is logged and reversible. If something looks off, you can see exactly what changed and roll it back — the difference between software you can trust in production and a demo that looks good once.
